Client: Audi Club North America
Task:
This second themed issue of Audi Club’s quattro Magazine 100-page print publication would again take on a women focused theme. The focus then would be to facilitate and encourage content created by women, stories about women and further that subject matter in other creative ways. As usual, women amongst the Audi Club membership stepped forward to create a robust mix of stories, while other regular contributors produced stories one theme, including a biography of pre-war Aviatrix Elly Beinhorn who is one of few women who ever took the wheel of an Auto Union Silver Arrow grand prix racer.
In addition to coordinating and passing out assignments to contributors, editing and publishing, this also includes writing any remaining unassigned features, stories, and news. This included writing a feature on a reconnaissance car used by Audi rally car driver Michèle Mouton during her record over-all victory at Pike’s Peak in 1985, which included research of the time, interviews with the car’s current owner and with Mouton herself.
This magazine is originally issued in print, though digital PDF archives for members can be found on the Audi Club North America website HERE.
